The records are not yet on the shelves, not yet touched by the mild boredom of order. I cannot march up and down their ranks to pass them in review before a friendly audience. You need not fear any of that. Instead, I must ask you to join me in the disorder of vinyl crates that have been wrenched open, the air saturated with the dust of wood, the floor covered with torn open cardboard mailers, to join me among piles of LP's and 7" singles that are seeing daylight again after what might be many years of darkness, so that you may be ready to share with me a bit of the mood - it is certainly not an elegiac mood but, rather, one of anticipation - which these records arouse in a genuine Groove Collector. You've finally run out of versions of "Ponteio" and started to compile another Edu Lobo song :) I can never get enough "Casa Forte", thankyou.

Yep, got these ones - Banda Black Rio, Sergio Mendes, Toots Thielmans, Opa, Flora Purim, and one by Edu Lobo, but dont have "Cantiga de Longe' album, so would love to hear that one. If you get a chance to let me have a listen to that please do.

"Casa Forte" by Edu Lobo from "Cantiga de longe", an album recorded in Hollywood in 1970 with Lobo and Hermeto Pascoal producing.
Contains a couple of the same tracks (including this one) as the album they recorded earlier in the year with Sergio Mendes. Generally a more raw affair than the Mendes album, no English language tracks.
This version is just Lobo on guitar and (multitracked?) vocals, with Hermeto on flute.
This is a Good version.
