The records are not yet on the shelves, not yet touched by the mild boredom of order. I cannot march up and down their ranks to pass them in review before a friendly audience. You need not fear any of that. Instead, I must ask you to join me in the disorder of vinyl crates that have been wrenched open, the air saturated with the dust of wood, the floor covered with torn open cardboard mailers, to join me among piles of LP's and 7" singles that are seeing daylight again after what might be many years of darkness, so that you may be ready to share with me a bit of the mood - it is certainly not an elegiac mood but, rather, one of anticipation - which these records arouse in a genuine Groove Collector. ive been looking for a track (and please excuse the spelling) Terry Machaheno don't know the tiltle - ive always refered to it as the clapping song???, its an old Jap classic frenetic brazil fusiony thing.
Hewan Clarke used to hammer it back in the the day in manchester. any ideas???

Brilliant! heres what i know: the label is red and i think it was 12" not an album track. I do have it on a dusty old cassette (via a radio show back around 88) so ill start digging for it tonight and as soon as i get it will upload it for you.
I have no doubt you will know it for sure when you hear it. His name from a phonetic point of view would be: Terry Mass-a-he-no if that helps.
It has two bars that are trumpets then (handclaps) clap clap followed by another two bars clap clap then another two bars with no claps then it takes off in a really fast brazilian stylee, prob not that helpful :)
